DAB RADIO IN THE UK

Here are some leaflets I picked up recently in Dixons

It shows that the industry is doing their best to boost ownership and listeners to this new service.  Only a few years ago I was proud to be the owner of one of the first Evoke dab radios and it was difficult to find any in the stores at all. Happily now they are stacked high in every shop.  A few stations are unique and hopefully will stay on air without adverts or announcements. One station Chill is back to back music -how long will this stay the same. It is also good to hear Classic Gold, Talksport and Capital Gold in good quality. It is sad that all, or most, of the other commercial stations have transferred over in London.   Lets hope that we continue to get some unique music services on dab and that they do not all end up clones of each other with adverts and similar newscasts.
